AADManage is a tool designed to streamline the management of large user intakes in Microsoft 365/Azure AD.
It allows you to import user data such as first and last names, and then generate usernames and passwords in bulk, simplifying the data preparation process. The application connects to your Microsoft 365 tenancy via Microsoft's API to verify user data, ensuring there are no existing users in the domain or duplicates within the dataset.
This enables you to confidently create new user accounts in bulk, using customized password formats, rather than Microsoft's default settings.
Currently, this tool is in the early stages on development and therefore I'm not making it publically available for download so far.
Development has slowed down due to work and personal life getting rather busy.
I currently have a few solutions running in Visual Studio, and the main one I'm working on is now the mockup version of the final app. This allows me to quickly import controls and write (sometimes messy) code and test functionality much easier.
I have another solution which has the more up-to-date UI (normally I'm not too fussy but given the scope of this project wanted to make it look nicer without compromising functionality). This is a much more polished version and when I'm happy that a feature is working and it's ready to commit to the project fully, I add the tidied up code and labelled controls to the main project.
Shame I couldn't get this fully working any sooner as I worked for an MSP that deals with educational intuitions and we've had a large number of intakes coming in suddenly!
The application has been in development for a few months now. At this rate I have some of the basic functionality down, but the UI could do with some serious development.
